Who We Are
Providence Cristo Rey High School located in Indianapolis, Indiana is one of 41 high schools in the national Cristo Rey Network. Cristo Rey schools use a rigorous academic model, supported by best practices in instruction and assessment, to prepare students with a broad range of intellectual abilities for college, career, and life. Cristo Rey schools employ an innovative Corporate Work Study Program education model which, integrated with rigorous academics, provides students with real world work experiences. In this highly unique model, every student works an average of four days a month to fund a large portion of her/his schooling, gain critical job and life skills, grow in self-confidence, and realize the relevance of this education. Students work in various corporate and business settings including law and accounting firms, banks, hospitals, universities, and with other professional organizations.
Like all Cristo Rey schools, Providence Cristo Rey is a Catholic high school open to students of all faiths from families of limited financial means. We are co-educational and support our students in mind, body, and spirit. Our aspiration is that all our students graduate from high school and college and become the future leaders in our churches, institutions, businesses, nonprofits, and the community at large.
Who We Seek
Our intent is to identify a new leader who is passionate about the Cristo Rey mission and model of education which places a special emphasis on the Corporate Work Study Program. The President is the chief executive officer and will lead the school in development, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of an exceptional program that supports and promotes the school's mission and values with a foundation in the tenets of our sponsors, the Sisters of Providence of St. Mary-of-the-Woods. In everything that we do, we keep the students at the center and every action is rooted in Love, Mercy and Justice. The President & CEO reports to the school's governing board of directors.
