Responsibilities
  • Supervises oncology Intake navigation and patient services team
  • Coordinates, participates and supervises the intake process for new patients referred to MCI: assists managers in conducting Interviews, assigning duties, approving time off, and handling disciplinary issues
  • Participates In the hiring of staff and holds staff accountable through employee evaluations and disciplinary actions if needed
  • Supports continuous Improvement and training needs of new hires
  • Pre services functions. and assists others with Issues
  • Supports continuous improvement and training needs for new hires and new processes
  • Employs excellent customer service skills in accordance to USA I.D.E.A.L customer service standards
  • Demonstrates maturity and professionalism with patients. staff, and leaders
  • Proactively updates patients on waits and delays, responds to patient needs and complaints
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for Improvement and facilitates problem resolution
  • Maintains strong working relationships with administrative and clinical teams
  • Reviews clinic schedules dally, follows proper registration check-In and discharge protocol
  • Obtains patient demographic and Insurance Information
  • Following registration standards or USA Health
  • Verifies and updates patient demographic and insurance information each visit
  • Collects co-payments, prior balance, and other payments as deemed necessary: generates end of batch dally reports tor dally deposit
  • Reviews and endorses dally deposit and accuracy of cash drawers: schedules all follow up appointments consistent with patients' needs and clinic scheduling guidelines
  • Coordinates future appointments with current appointments scheduled
  • Provides patients with appropriate discharge paperwork and instructions as necessary
  • Answers general telephone inquiries with exemplary phone etiquette professionalism, and in a courteous manner
  • Triages phone messages to appropriate clinical pools with proper grammar and punctuation
  • Communicates basic information to patients and customers such as Insurance, parking, and driving directions
  • Reviews email daily to stay current with clinic communication
  • Maintains the physical environment or safety of staff and patients
  • Informs site leadership when necessary office supplies and forms are running low, and if any issues occur
  • Sorts and distributes faxes and mall on a dally basis
  • Ensures daily functioning of office equipment
  • Travels to various MCI locations to provide coverage, as needed
  • Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements
  • Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards
  • Regular and prompt attendance
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required
  • Related duties as assigned
Additional Information

Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years clerical experience in a customer service or healthcare setting. Required
  • Supervisory experience Preferred
  • Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.
