Job description

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking a 3rd shift Sr. Press Brake Operator in partnership with a prominent client in Binghamton, NY within the Machining industry. In this role, you will program, set up, and operate press brake equipment to produce prototype and production parts from engineering drawings.
Job Summary:
3rd Shift: 10:30pm - 7am
Pay: $24 - $26 / hour
Press Brake Operator Responsibilities:
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC press brake machines using engineering prints and part specifications.
  • Select the proper tooling, dies, and machine parameters to manufacture complex components accurately.
  • Create, edit, save, and optimize CNC programs based on blueprints and 3D CAD models.
  • Interpret technical drawings and work instructions to ensure proper machine setup and part quality.
  • Inspect completed parts using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, gauges, and tape measures, to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Provide hands-on training to Press Brake Helpers and Operators and help with troubleshooting.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, including cleaning tooling and monitoring machine fluid levels.

Press Brake Qualifications and Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 5+ years of experience in press brake or a related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of shop mathematics, including geometry and fractions for bending calculations
  • Familiar with CNC controller interfaces
  • Demonstrate sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to producing high-quality work.
