Position Description: AI Development Engineer
Amplify HR Management | Northbrook, ILHybrid (2/3 days a week onsite in Northbrook, IL)Role Overview
Amplify HR is seeking an Experienced AI Engineer to rapidly prototype AI and application pricing and financial solutions using complex mathematical algorithms. This role needs to have a strong mathematical and AI development background. They will be compiling large datasets from multiple sources then using AI to create and run simulations to find the best financial and pricing outcomes.
Success is measured by speed, feasibility validation, and actionable prototypes that can be operationalized to improve client and employee experiences at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Build and iterate AI prototypes that can do tens of thousands of financial and pricing calculations to consistently find the best outcomes across PEO workflows including benefits administration, HR compliance, employee onboarding, client service, and sales operations. They will be building applications that can source pricing and financial data and then run simulations to find the best outcomes for key stakeholders.
Required Skills
AI prototyping with the ability to build working systems using a combination of complex math and AI quickly in a PEO or HR technology context. Data integration expertise connecting APIs, HRIS platforms, benefits administration systems, and client databases. Strong collaboration skills working alongside department leaders who may not have technical backgrounds. Experimentation mindset with the ability to rapidly test and refine ideas based on user feedback from internal teams and clients. Clear technical documentation that communicates prototype behavior, limitations, and implementation requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
Three to five years of AI engineering experience with focus on complex math and numbers based decision modeling Expert proficiency with AI coding tools such as Claude Code and ChatGPT. Strong expertise with Python, large language models, prompt engineering, and AI frameworks. Demonstrated ability to rapidly prototype with limited infrastructure and ambiguous requirements. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders.
