    Duties and responsibilities

    • Prioritize providing exceptional customer service to deliver a positive customer experience thereby cultivating a positive reputation for the company and fostering customer loyalty.
    • Frying Donuts
    • Using manual and electrical processing machines.
    • Following recipes and/or product directions under the direction of the bakers.
    • Assist bakers by mixing ingredients for cakes, squares, Danishes, muffins, and additional items.
    • Assist bakers by making and using fondant, icing, and various fillings.
    • Decorating cakes.
    • Following the production schedule set out by management.
    • Using convection ovens in a safe manner.
    • Interacting with customers in a friendly manner.
    • Cleaning as you go. Cleaning and sanitizing the work area.
    • Representing ICS both in and out of the store.
    • Adhering to all food safety protocols, standard operating procedures, health and safety policies, and other programs and initiatives.
    • Other duties as required

    While we are willing to train the right candidate, most successful candidates possess the following:

    •  High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school system or program. (preferred)
    •  Minimum of two years of experience in a bakery environment. (preferred)

    • Excellent listening skills and communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to work under pressure while always maintaining a professional image.
    • Working independently with little direct supervision.
    • Have a well-balanced concern for both tasks and people.
    • Have a genuine concern for the needs of customers.
    • Ability to delegate duties and responsibilities

    Working conditions

    • Required to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
    • Required at times to work with challenging customers and/or situations. 
    • Exposed to hot, cold, and dusty environments.
    • Regular exposure to flour and other baking ingredients, including nuts

    Physical requirements 

    • Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently
    • Long periods of standing and walking
    • Frequent bending and twisting
    • Occasionally pushing and pulling of heavy carts around bakery
    • Occasionally work in coolers and freezers for short periods of time
