Job description

Senior Security & Fire Multi Operations Specialist

Company:

The Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Security & Fire Multi Operations Specialist to join the team in Berkeley, MO.

This specialist will be responsible for serving as the Liaison and compliance oversight to support the internal Boeing business units. The selected candidate will perform multi-disciplinary security operations duties and report to the St. Louis Security & Fire Operations Senior Manager.

In this role, your work will primarily be site-based with a regional approach specific to focused training needs. This position is perfect for a self-starter and collaborative team player who demonstrates a sense of urgency and initiative in determining and completing actions independently.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Focal for Satellite and Subsidiary Campuses

  • Assist all satellite and subsidiary locations across the St. Louis region

  • Ensure recommended path to meet or exceed standards is followed and executed

  • Technical Expert for Deployment and Integration (ASCENT)

  • Bring forward and accelerate Research and Development (R&D), Best Practices, or Beta programs that will/can enhance the security of People, Property, Products, and information

  • Enhance the Surveillance and Entry Control Points (ECP)

  • Collaborate with other sites and Enterprise teams

  • Foreign National counter measures

  • Main Point of Contact (POC) for regional surveillance programs and projects

  • Manage life cycle initiatives

  • Digital enhancement capabilities with R&D and share paths with fellow sites and Enterprise partners

  • Employee training across the region and Enterprise where applicable

  • Project Management knowledge to ensure projects are executed in timely manner and coordination of all resources to include funding

  • Report on progress and support needed weekly/monthly

  • Intel and Backup Emergency Preparedness; Gather intel on local protest groups for mentions of Boeing and protest activity/threats towards employees or the company

  • Work with System Integrator (SI), Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Watch Floor, local, state, and federal Law Enforcement (LE)

  • Brief teams to include Executive Protection (EP)

  • Work directly with local Emergency Management (EM) in reporting Incident Management Team (IMT) activations and Public Alerting/ Government Alerting Group (PAG) notifications regarding severe weather or events

  • Teach internal/external training classes on a variety of topics

  • Conduct and document complex advances, regularly act as a detail leader or event coordinator, and create detailed after-action reports

  • Respond to emergency calls for assistance to mitigate hazardous situations

  • Act as Incident Commander and determines and implements the appropriate course of action

  • Upon activation of Emergency Operations Center, represents Security and Fire Protection

  • Complete appropriate notification and documentation

  • Conduct after action reviews on minor incidents

  • Serve as board member for review of major incidents

  • Communicate with site security managers, Ethics, Law Department and local and federal agencies, regarding investigation results

  • Conduct investigations involving senior company officials

  • Perform risk assessments based on trend analysis

  • Operate technical surveillance equipment and trains others in its use

  • Develop solutions to unique or complex problems that require variance from established policies, practices and procedures

  • Oversee the development and implementation of new policies, procedures and practices for the protection of company people, property, and interests

  • Serve as Incident Commander and Training Officer

  • Oversee the development and implementation of new information protection policies, procedures and practices for the protection of company people, property, information and interests

  • Oversee the strategic coordination and integration of information protection activities to enhance operations

  • Review information protection plans, assessments, programs and documents; directs and facilitates coordinated changes and revisions; prepares position papers for presentation to executive management

  • Oversee the development and implementation of new risk management policies, procedures and practices for the protection of company people, property, information and interests

  • Oversee the strategic coordination and integration of risk management activities to enhance operations

  • Review risk management plans, assessments, programs and documents; directs and facilitates coordinated changes and revisions; prepares position papers for presentation to executive management

  • Represent security on internal issues or the company in external activities, to ensure that the customer's needs are effectively promoted in policy development, standards, and regulatory bodies

  • Lead, advise and train less experienced personnel

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience with site Security and Fire Operational

  • 10+ years of experience building relationships and partnerships with all levels of employees, including executives

  • 10+ years of experience with contract management

  • 10+ years of experience with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with auditing

  • Experience with Security & Fire Protection Operations policies and procedures

  • Experience verifying and processing invoices

  • Experience conducting Service Level Assessment (SLA) reviews with service contractors; mutually addressing service delivery issues, lessons learned, and best practices

  • Experience reviewing Uniformed Security Incident Reports (USIR)

  • Experience authoring/editing written security instructions and/or uniformed security post orders
