OCES aims to support older adults and individuals with disabilities by providing vital information and coordination of services that promote healthy, save lives for our consumers. We want to help them stay as active and engaged in their lives and in their own communities for as long as possible.To that end, OCES is looking for a dedicated Protective Services Worker (PSW) - Coverage to work in our Protective Services department to investigate and substantiate allegations of abuse and neglect in the elder community.What you will do:Provide emergency PS department coverage during non-business hours as scheduled by the PS SupervisorAssist PSW's with requesting police reports to police dept for investigationsConduct SAMS reviews and Public Records search when appropriateSubmit CORI requests to PSD and PSADComplete timely documentation of all aspects of the case in consumer record as required by current AGE and MA State Regulations as applicableParticipate in appropriate staff meetings and function, upon request, as a representative of the agencyAct as back-up support for PSW as requiredOther duties as assigned.What you will bring:Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of social work as well as the social, emotional, and physical processes of agingAbility to hold the confidence of elders and their families; ability to obtain information of a personal nature through interviews, draw appropriate conclusions and make suitable recommendationsAbility to respond appropriately to a variety of emergency situations involving the abuse and/or neglect of elders; ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; computer use proficiencyAt least two years of experience in crisis intervention or protective services preferredBachelor's degree in Social Work or related field Current Social Work licensure preferredWhat you will get:Ability to work with an enthusiastic team of like-minded individualsOpportunity to develop professionally in your chosen careerGreat work/life balance: 35-hour work week with some flexibility; standard M-F workweek; hybrid work environment (home, office and home visits).Exceptional benefits: health and dental; generous paid time off policies; company paid LTD and life insurances, 401K planWe can't wait to hear from you...So take that next step and apply today!Apply today!
