How will you fit in the big picture?
The Manager, Shopper Strategy, Walmart Inc. serves as the shopper expert for Walmart and Sam's Club, translating shopper, consumer, category, and retail insights into growth-driving strategies for Hershey. This role partners closely with Sales, Consumer Insights, Shopper Insights, Analytics, and Commercialization teams to deliver actionable recommendations that influence decision making, strengthen retailer partnerships, and support category and brand growth across confection, salty snacks, and protein.
What will you do?
 
  • Develop and execute the annual shopper learning agenda for Walmart and Sam's Club to fuel category growth and business performance.
  • Lead foundational shopper research to deepen understanding of shopper behaviors, motivations, and purchase drivers.
  • Translate consumer, shopper, retailer, and category trends into commercialized insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Create and deliver key business-building insights for annual playbooks, National Sales Meetings, joint growth initiatives, GCICs, and external engagements.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to Walmart and Sam's Club, providing insights-based support to unlock growth opportunities.
  • Drive alignment and connectivity across Consumer Insights, Shopper Insights, Analytics, Commercialization, and Sales teams.
  • Synthesize multiple data sources into clear, compelling stories that inspire action and support business decisions.
  • Influence stakeholders through impactful communication, strategic framing, and insight-driven recommendations.
Minimum Education & Requirements
Experience:
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Shopper Insights, Consumer Insights, Category Management, Business Intelligence, Analytics, or a related field. 
  • Experience leveraging multiple data sources to generate actionable business insights.
  • Experience working with large retailers, CPG organizations, or syndicated data sources preferred.
  • Experience analyzing POS, panel, shopper, and consumer research data preferred.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Advanced degree preferred but not required.

  • Ability to uncover and communicate clear, actionable, and growth-oriented insights.
