Job description

Service Dispatcher

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Service Dispatcher to join our Service Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating repair orders, scheduling work to technicians, and helping ensure a smooth workflow throughout the shop.

Responsibilities:
  • Dispatch service work to technicians based on skill set and availability
  • Communicate job status updates to service advisors and management
  • Monitor and manage shop capacity to maximize efficiency and productivity
  • Prioritize work orders to meet customer deadlines and shop goals
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of repairs, technician time, and job progress
  • Assist with resolving scheduling conflicts or delays
  • Collaborate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of parts
  • Support overall customer satisfaction by minimizing wait times and improving service flow
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a service dispatcher or in a similar role (preferred)
  • Knowledge of automotive repair operations and shop flow
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with scheduling software and dealership management systems
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
