Job description

SALARY: $73 - 78K DOE

OVERVIEW:

The Manager, Workplace Major Gifts is responsible for managing and cultivating relationships with new and existing major gift prospects in corporate workplace campaigns. This role involves prospect research and developing effective solicitation strategies aligned with the workplace campaign, as well as soliciting and stewarding donors throughout the major giving process. These efforts will be captured in a donor portfolio, with a particular focus on cultivating gifts of $10,000 or more.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Maximizes campaign revenue by developing and implementing strategies to engage and solicit major gift prospects within corporate workplace campaigns. Actively manages a portfolio of approximately 75-100 donors/prospects with specific cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies for each assigned donor. Makes arrangements for meetings with major donors, including scheduling with all parties involved. Makes direct solicitations and assists the board and other staff with their solicitations (e.g. prospect research, strategic counsel, and donor communications). Works closely and meets routinely with supervisor, Advancement team members, volunteer leadership, donors, prospects, and other key staff.
  • Develops and enhances year-round relationships with individual donors and prospects, with a focus on cultivating leadership donors that reflect the rich diversity of Greater Houston. Provides premium customer service by establishing open communication, responding timely to requests, and keeping donors/prospects informed of events and engagement opportunities.
  • Conducts prospect research and identification of prospects, using financial data, information from multiple news sources, and wealth screening services.  Analyzes and interprets results to create and implement a fundraising plan that will enhance revenue growth.
  • Consistently documents key conversations and updates with prospects, donors, and corporate contacts into UWGH’s relationship management databases (Salesforce and Raisers Edge). Reports campaign revenue with a high level of integrity in a timely and accurate manner.
