Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Department Manager for our SOHO store to oversee daily operations within a flagship POP MART location. This role is responsible for elevating customer experience, driving department-level sales performance, and ensuring smooth operational and merchandising execution. The Department Manager will oversee a team of Brand Associates, supporting training, development, and overall productivity while acting as a key leader on the sales floor.

This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong operational acumen, and the ability to guide and motivate a team in a high-volume, high-visibility environment. The position reports to and receives functional guidance from the General Manager.

What You Will AchieveTeam Leadership & Customer Experience
  • Lead, coach, and develop Brand Associates to achieve sales, service, and operational performance standards
  • Provide input into hiring, onboarding, performance feedback, and corrective action in partnership with the General Manager
  • Set clear expectations, provide coaching, and drive a positive and inclusive team culture
  • Act as Manager on Duty when needed, ensuring strong customer engagement and operational excellence
  • Maintain a welcoming, safe, and engaging store environment for customers and employees
  • Champion company brand image, values, and culture in both team behavior and store presentation
Sales Performance & Store Operations
  • Drive departmental sales results through product knowledge, customer engagement, and team performance
  • Achieve key sales metrics including conversion, UPT, ATV, and department-specific sales targets
  • Support Learning & Development initiatives and deepen IP discovery knowledge to strengthen product storytelling, team education, and customer engagement.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement and share insights with the General Manager
  • Support POP MART marketing events including in-store activations, new drops, pop-ups, conventions, and NSO execution
Visual Merchandising OR Inventory Management (based on flagship assignment)

Visual Merchandising Focus

  • Execute visual and marketing directives and attend weekly planning calls
  • Install marketing materials, decals, props, and new merchandising planograms
  • Remerchandise floor areas based on sell-through and product performance
  • Partner closely with Operations to coordinate visual merchandising execution with product flow, inventory availability, and store readiness.
  • Ensure all visual standards align with brand guidelines, product storytelling, and flagship expectations

Inventory Management Focus

  • Oversee back-of-house organization, inventory accuracy, and product flow
  • Manage receiving, transfers, cycle counts, and quarterly audits
  • Partner with the Visual Merchandising team to ensure product flow, replenishment, and stock availability support visual execution and floor standards.
  • Partner with inventory leadership to maintain accurate BOH and warehouse stock levels
  • Ensure stockroom operates efficiently within flagship standards
Cross-Functional Support
  • Partner with General Manager on all operational processes and communication flow
  • Support RoboShop business tasks in coordination with designated store personnel
  • Ensure alignment with company policy, safety procedures, and operational SOPs
  • Work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet flagship business needs
Qualifications
  • Strong retail industry knowledge, customer experience skills, and operational leadership
  • Confident engaging customers and leading a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Minimum 3+ years of retail leadership experience required (flagship or high-volume preferred)
  • Strong ethics, integrity, and professionalism
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic, evolving business
  • Experience using data and metrics to inform decisions and drive solutions
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new directives, standardization, and operational changes
  • High School Diploma required; must be 18+
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand or walk 6-8 hours per shift
  • Ability to kneel, bend, reach, and safely climb ladders or step stools
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as unpacking boxes or stocking shelves
  • Ability to work in stockrooms and receiving areas, which may vary in temperature
  • Manual dexterity required for standard stockroom tools (e.g., box cutters)
