Job Summary:
DV Trading LLC is a proprietary trading firm headquartered in Chicago, seeking a Trade Desk Support Engineer to join their IT department. The role involves handling L1 through L3 level support for service requests and incidents, with a strong emphasis on customer service and production support.
Responsibilities:
• Monitoring and alerting of critical trading system environments
• Proactive identification and resolution of production issues
• Development of tools and driving efficiency/stability improvements/ automation with scripting
• Troubleshooting and resolution of complex systems issues
• Production Deployments of all infrastructure components
• Off hours pager support on a rotating schedule
Qualifications:
Required:
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Strong working knowledge of UNIX environment/Unix commands
• Database knowledge with sql - MySQL, InfluxDB
• Strong scripting knowledge - Python/Bash
• Minimum B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
• Ability to switch and track various ongoing tasks and issues is required
• Attention to detail in problem solving
• Ability to work under pressure within a dynamic trading environment
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Preferred:
• Experience using Jira as a ticket/work request system
• Experience using Grafana/InfluxDB/Icinga
• Linux desktop support experience
• Experience with version control systems such as git/puppet
• Network troubleshooting and analysis experience
