Currently, our Marketing team is looking for a Proposal Coordinator, who will play a critical role in supporting business development efforts by crafting persuasive, high-quality proposals that showcase the company's expertise and align with client requirements. This individual will collaborate closely with business development, project teams, and subject matter experts to produce compelling proposals, presentations, and qualification packages aimed at winning new commercial construction projects.
This person can sit in either Greensboro or Charlotte

Key Responsibilities will include:

Proposal Development

  • Lead the proposal development process, including writing, editing, and formatting responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), and other client solicitations
  • Analyze client requirements and develop a proposal strategy that highlights the company’s strengths, relevant experience, and unique value propositions
  • Organize and manage proposal content, including project descriptions, team bios, technical narratives, and other supporting documentation, ensuring content is tailored to client needs and project specifications.

Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with business development, project managers, and subject matter experts to gather, curate, and refine proposal content
  • Coordinate proposal input and review cycles, managing timelines and responsibilities to meet submission deadlines
  • Facilitate regular proposal planning meetings to ensure alignment with client expectations and proposal objectives.

Content Management

  • Maintain and update a library of standard proposal content, including resumes, project descriptions, and past performance data
  • Ensure all proposal materials adhere to branding guidelines, are error-free, and present a professional and polished image
  • Develop templates, tools, and processes to streamline future proposal efforts and improve efficiency.

Market Research & Strategy

  • Support business development with market research to understand client needs, competitive positioning, and industry trends.
  • Assist in gathering and analyzing feedback from completed proposals to identify areas for improvement.

Presentation Support

  • Assist in developing content for project interviews and presentations, including graphics, slide decks, and other visual aids.
  • Collaborate with marketing and business development to create innovative and visually engaging presentation materials.

The most qualified candidates will have:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, English, or a related field preferred.

Experience: 2+ years of experience in proposal coordination, marketing, or a related field, preferably in the construction or architecture/engineering industry.

Valid Driver's License

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to create persuasive and tailored messaging.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator) or similar proposal software.
