Solutions Engineering Intern - Summer 2027
Location: Miamisburg, OH (Onsite)

Internship Program Overview
Accelevation is committed to developing future leaders through meaningful, hands-on experiences that directly impact our customers and business. As a Solutions Engineering Project Manager Intern, you will gain exposure to project management, engineering operations, customer solutions, and sales enablement while working alongside experienced engineering and project management professionals.
This internship provides real-world experience supporting customer projects from initial scope definition through proposal development and project execution while building a strong understanding of mission-critical infrastructure solutions.
Your Impact
As a Solutions Engineering Project Manager Intern, you will help support the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects that serve some of the world's most demanding data center environments. You will work closely with engineering teams, subject matter experts, sales teams, and project stakeholders to help manage project information, coordinate resources, and support customer deliverables. Throughout this opportunity, you will gain valuable insight into how Accelevation designs, manufactures, procures, and installs integrated solutions that support Colocation, Enterprise, and Hyperscale data center customers.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Assist in defining and documenting project scopes, requirements, deliverables, and customer expectations
  • Maintain project documentation and files to ensure accuracy, organization, and accessibility
  • Coordinate requests for engineering resources and subject matter experts to support project execution
  • Support project planning activities and help track key deliverables and milestones
  • Assist in preparing customer proposals and solution documentation for sales teams and clients
  • Work with engineering teams to gather information for project and proposal development
  • Help maintain project schedules, action items, and communication records
  • Support cross-functional collaboration between engineering, sales, operations, and project teams
  • Assist with reporting and project status updates as needed
  • Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives within the Solutions Engineering organization
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Project Management, Construction Management, Business, Operations, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Interest in project management, engineering, data center infrastructure, manufacturing, or customer solutions
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position is primarily performed in an office environment with regular collaboration across engineering, project management, and business teams. Employees must be able to communicate effectively and operate standard office equipment, including computers, monitors, keyboards, and phones.
Physical requirements include prolonged periods of sitting, reviewing project documentation, preparing proposals, attending meetings, and working on computers. Occasional movement throughout office and manufacturing environments may be required to support project activities and gain exposure to production operations.
The work environment is typically office-based with moderate noise levels. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when visiting manufacturing areas.
