Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the generation of detailed technical proposals in close collaboration with Global departments including; process development, manufacturing, business development, project management and finance
  • Act as the primary interface between the business development and technical teams to ensure interdepartmental alignment on project scopes, technical feasibility of proposed programs and competitive offers
  • Proactively engage with subject matter experts to assess the technical feasibility of client requests and translate those requirements into robust and competitive solutions
  • Participate in technical client calls, proposal review meetings, and scientific discussions, to support the positioning of Rentschler's solutions
  • Contribute to the evaluation of process feasibility and facility fit, working closely with internal experts to define optimal manufacturing strategies for clients
  • Prepare and draft proposal content technical scope from pre-defined service packages, project timelines and service costs
  • Calculate detailed cost basis as input for market-aligned pricing strategies, in collaboration with Business Development
  • Maintain close and structured communication with all planning-relevant departments ensuring transparency and validity of key proposal assumptions
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and standardization of service packages and proposal processes

Qualifications

  • Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in proposal management, technical project management, or a comparable role within the biopharmaceutical or CDMO industry (a PhD or equivalent technical experience is considered a strong asset)
  • Solid understanding of biopharmaceutical development and GMP manufacturing processes
  • Strong technical mindset with the ability to assess process feasibility, operational fit, and technical risks
  • Good business acumen with a solid understanding of cost structures and pricing principles
  • Strong analytical skills and high numerical proficiency
  • Highly self-driven, structured, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in MS Office focusing on timeline generation tools, and experience with CRM systems
