Job description

STV is seeking a dedicated Marketing Proposal Manager to join and support our Water Group. This position is designated as hybrid (3 days week/in office) and will be located in our Dallas, TX office.

This is an opportunity for anyone seeking a rewarding marketing career with an opportunity to lead/collaborate with pursuit teams, lead proposal development, and provide strategic direction in a dynamic, growing market.

In this role, you will work closely with technical staff, business development teams, and senior leadership to produce high-quality marketing materials, develop competitive proposals, and drive STV's presence in the water infrastructure industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with national water pursuit team and proposal coordinators for pre-RFP/Q positioning, including competitor analysis, client-stated and unstated issues, underlying objectives, and the client's needs while enhancing the Win Plan, qualifications identification and content development
  • Participate in developing client plans in collaboration with client managers, business development staff, and others to evolve long-term strategic relationships with our current and future clients as well as insights into their goals and objectives
  • Analyze RFQ/Ps and evaluate scope requirements for additional opportunities for teaming partners, upselling, and develop a clear responsibility outline, schedule and content readiness plan for writing assignments
  • Directly develop, draft, and execute creative, strategic, high-quality submissions and presentations - from point of decision to delivery to client
    • Coordinate with teaming partners to obtain critical materials for pursuits
    • Write and tailor creative, compelling non-technical narratives in coordination with technical authors
    • Storyboard pursuits in collaboration with the graphic support staff and technical staff to develop impactful graphics, meaningful themes, and strategic messages that are evident throughout the submission
    • Lead and perform proposal production activities including document assembly, version control, schedules, and final delivery in coordination with other marketing team members
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in ensuring a quality, compliant document by proofing/editing all aspects of submissions that meet RFQ/P requirements and STV's brand guidelines
  • Coordinate independent QC review to ensure document meets department quality standards
  • Facilitate development of shortlist interview presentations and client meeting materials
  • Coach presenters on content development as well as presentation style and delivery
  • Participate in client debriefs to ensure lessons learned are integrated into future submittals
  • Work collaboratively with technical professionals and marketing team members at all levels, building trust through clear communication, realistic timelines, and respect for functional roles
  • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability in support of continuous improvement initiatives, working collaboratively across teams to maintain efficient, consistent pursuit execution

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience managing proposal development in the A/E/C industry.
  • Proven expertise in marketing for engineering and construction services, with a strong understanding of pursuit strategy, competitive positioning, and proposal best practices
  • Required experience in proposal management, ideally within local water facility infrastructure projects
  • Excellent writing and research skills, with the ability to tailor content to client requirements and industry-specific style guides
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage concurrent assignments under strict deadlines
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with diverse teams, including technical staff, business development professionals, and executive leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Experience monitoring and managing opportunities in CRM systems
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign is required; proficiency in Illustrator or other Adobe Creative Suite programs is a plus

Compensation Range:

$104,402.58 - $119,317.24
