Proposal Analyst Remote information

What are some common challenges faced by remote Proposal Analysts, and how can they be effectively managed?

Remote Proposal Analysts often encounter challenges such as coordinating with dispersed teams across different time zones, maintaining clear communication, and accessing up-to-date information required for proposals. To manage these challenges, it's crucial to leverage collaborative tools (like Slack, Microsoft Teams, or shared document platforms), establish regular check-ins with your team, and set clear deadlines. Building strong relationships with subject matter experts and staying organized with a project management tool can also help ensure that all proposal components are accurate and submitted on time.

What does a Proposal Analyst do in a remote position?

A Proposal Analyst working remotely is responsible for reviewing requests for proposals (RFPs), gathering relevant information, and creating compelling proposals to win new business for their organization. They coordinate with various departments—such as sales, finance, and technical teams—to ensure the proposal meets client requirements and aligns with company capabilities. Remote Proposal Analysts use digital tools to communicate, organize documents, and manage deadlines efficiently. Their work is crucial in helping companies secure contracts and grow revenue.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Proposal Analyst (Remote), and why are they important?

To thrive as a Proposal Analyst (Remote), you need strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of proposal writing, often supported by a bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field. Familiarity with proposal management software (like RFPIO or Qvidian), Microsoft Office Suite, and sometimes Shipley or APMP certification is typically required. Excellent written communication, time management, and collaboration skills help you effectively convey value propositions and work with cross-functional teams. These competencies are crucial for producing competitive, compliant proposals that win business in a deadline-driven, remote environment.

We're looking for a results-oriented Outbound Sales Manager to lead a team of Inside Sales Representatives focused on selling Yelp's advertising solutions to small local businesses across the U.S. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll support, develop, and inspire your team to exceed sales goals through high-volume outbound cold calling and consultative selling.

What you'll do:

  • Drive daily outbound activity and ensure team members consistently meet or exceed KPIs.
  • Provide hands-on coaching through call reviews, live shadowing, and structured 1:1s to strengthen sales skills and improve close rates.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance team culture focused on accountability, growth, and continuous learning.
  • Facilitate effective team meetings, sales trainings, and performance check-ins to drive engagement and results.
  • Analyze team performance metrics and implement strategies to improve conversion rates and exceed monthly revenue targets.
  • Ensure accurate and transparent communication of Yelp's products, pricing, and policies to prospective clients.
  • Use Chatbench, Yelp's internal tool that provides secure access to a number of LLM models, to research, draft proposals, analyze data and overcome objections.
What it takes to succeed:
  • Have 1+ years of experience effectively developing and managing inside sales teams within a high-volume, outbound sales environment
  • Are well-versed in selling digital products to SMBs and using Salesforce CRM
  • Proven success leading teams in a cold calling environment with a focus on high activity and quota achievement.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills with a commitment to developing others and fostering career growth.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze performance metrics and implement actionable improvements.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
  • Have earned a Bachelor's degree OR 3+ years of customer-facing experience and hold a HS Diploma or GED
What you'll get:
  • Effective your first day: Full medical, vision, and dental
  • 15 days PTO (accrual begins on date of hire and increases with 2+ years of tenure thereafter), 12 paid holidays, plus one floating holiday
  • Up to 14 weeks of parental leave
  • Monthly wellness subsidy
  • Work from home reimbursement
  • Flexible spending account
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Employee stock purchase plan
  • Compensation range for this position is $63k- $78k annually plus performance based incentives.
