As of Jun 9, 2026, the average yearly pay for property videographer in the United States is $63,930.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $44,500.00 and $73,000.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

How does a property videographer typically collaborate with real estate agents and other team members during a project?

Property videographers work closely with real estate agents, staging professionals, and sometimes marketing teams to ensure the video content highlights the property's best features and aligns with the client's goals. Collaboration usually starts with a briefing to understand the unique selling points and target audience for the listing. Videographers often coordinate schedules for filming, discuss desired shots or themes, and share drafts for feedback before finalizing the video. Effective communication and flexibility are key, as last-minute changes or tight deadlines can be common in the fast-paced real estate market.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Property Videographer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Property Videographer, you need strong skills in video production, editing, and an understanding of real estate visual storytelling, often backed by experience or a relevant degree in film, media, or communications. Proficiency with cameras, drones, video editing software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro), and sometimes FAA drone certification is typically required. Creativity, attention to detail, and strong client communication skills help you stand out in this role. These competencies ensure high-quality, engaging property videos that attract buyers and effectively represent clients’ listings in a competitive market.

What does a property videographer do?

A property videographer specializes in creating high-quality video tours and promotional content for real estate listings. Their work helps showcase homes, apartments, or commercial properties to potential buyers and renters by highlighting key features, layout, and ambiance. Using professional equipment, editing software, and sometimes drone footage, property videographers produce engaging videos that help properties stand out in a competitive market. They often collaborate with real estate agents, property managers, or homeowners to ensure the video aligns with marketing goals.
