Mitigation Technician โ€“ Lead Regional Property Recovery and Emergency Restoration Projects


Job Overview:

  • Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday, with occasional on-call duties, after-hours emergency response, and overtime opportunities

The Opportunity: You will serve as a critical field responder, driving the successful execution of urgent water, fire, mold, and storm damage restoration projects. This role allows you to support local communities during critical emergencies while mastering advanced property drying and structural recovery techniques. You will have the autonomy to manage on-site equipment configurations with the support of a dedicated local management team.


How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Execute daily field mitigation tasks including water extraction, structural demolition, and comprehensive debris removal.
  • Position advanced drying equipment such as air movers and dehumidifiers to stabilize damaged environments.
  • Monitor critical moisture readings and maintain structured job site documentation for property insurance validation.
  • Collaborate with property owners directly to deliver compassionate service and clear operational updates during stressful crises.
  • Enforce strict compliance with company safety protocols and industry-standard IICRC field operational guidelines.
  • Coordinate real-time logistical updates with the Mitigation Manager to prevent project delays or material shortages.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven background performing physical labor within mitigation, restoration, construction, or general field labor environments.
  • Proficiency using standard hand tools, specialized demolition equipment, and electronic moisture measurement devices.
  • Absolute willingness to operate in challenging environments including crawl spaces, attics, and heavily damaged structures.
  • Physical capability to lift over 50 pounds repeatedly and execute manual labor throughout extended shifts.
  • Flexibility to respond to unpredictable after-hours emergency calls and participate in an on-call schedule rotation.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) certification or equivalent technical disaster recovery training.
  • Demonstrated experience handling complex structural drying setups or specialized mold remediation layouts.
  • Strong communication skills optimized for reassuring property owners and managing fluid team dynamics on-site.
