JOB SUMMARY

Title: Senior Operations Coordinator (SkillBridge Intern) - Government Asset Management (GAM)

Work Arrangement: On-Site - Positions available in Tempe, AZ, Torrance, CA, Clearwater, FL

Operate like a unitlevel supply/property lead-now inside a defense contractor. You'll support the 10 FAR 52.2451 outcomes (acquisition, receiving, records, inventories, reports, utilization, maintenance, subcontractor control, relief of stewardship/disposition, and closeout) while learning how these map to contractor policy, evidence standards, and audit trails. You will process GFP activity in PIEE (GFP Attachments, receipts/shipments/transfers, plant clearance) and see how IUID custody updates occur. You will also learn the procurement side: crafting RFP/RFQ packages, conducting price analysis/market research, negotiating schedules/specs, and maintaining compliant files tied to SOW and contract clauses.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Property Accountability: Execute records management and cyclic/sensitive inventories analogous to PBO/APO duties; reconcile counts, update custody, and maintain auditable evidence across the 10 FAR 52.2451 outcomes.
  • GFP & PIEE Operations: Build/validate GFP Attachments; process contractor/Government shipments and receipts; support plant clearance cases and understand IUID registry touchpoints via the GFP Module.
  • Loss & Liability Documentation: Assist with loss investigations and DD Form 200/FLIPLtype documentation in the contractor context to support relief of stewardship.
  • Audit Readiness / DCMA: Help prepare artifacts for internal reviews and DCMA PMSA surveillance; draft corrective actions and close findings.
  • Procurement Integration: Draft RFP/RFQ packages; perform market research and fairandreasonable determinations; coordinate with suppliers on pricing, delivery, specs, and terms tied to contract requirements/SOW.
  • Systems & Data: Learn SAP basics (WBS setup, reporting, validation) and see how commercial tools (e.g., AssetSmart/eQUIP) interface with property and procurement workflows; connect these to DoD APSR concepts you know from DPAS/ELMS/GCSSArmy.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in Kaizen/RCCA/Gemba efforts to reduce cycle time and strengthen controls across property and procurement processes; document measurable improvements for audits.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Activeduty Service Member eligible for DoD SkillBridge.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Education/experience: Bachelor's + 3 years OR HS diploma + 6 years in supply/logistics/property/procurement or related.
  • Militarycoded background such as 92Y/92A/920A (PBO), AF/USSF APO/Property Custodian, Navy LS, or USMC 3043 with documented accountability and inventory leadership.
  • Handson with hand receipts, inventory programs, and loss documentation (DD200/FLIPL).
  • Familiarity with an APSR or logistics system: GCSSArmy, DPAS/ELMS, or similar.
  • Exposure to PIEE/WAWF/iRAPT or willingness to learn GFP Module workflows.
  • Strong documentation discipline; able to maintain compliant files tied to contract/SOW.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working knowledge of FAR 52.2451 and the 10 Government Property Outcomes; understanding of DoDI 5000.64 accountability principles.
  • Experience supporting DCMA property surveillance, audits, or corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with SAP and/or commercial property tools (e.g., AssetSmart/eQUIP); ability to translate APSR data discipline to contractor systems (building audit trails).
  • Procurement exposure: RFP/RFQ build, market research, and fairandreasonable price analysis.
  • Continuous improvement credentials (e.g., Kaizen, RCCA, Six Sigma) applied to supply/property processes.
