ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a smart, organized, people-friendly property management assistant to support the daily operations of a 100-unit HDFC building in Manhattan. This role is ideal for someone who is tech-savvy, reliable, and supportive, with strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with tenants, vendors, and management.
Assistant Property Manager (Residential / Section 8/ HPD)
The agency seeks a detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager with experience in residential property operations, Tenant file/lease administration, and Section 8/ HPD compliance (certifications, recertification, and inspections). You will coordinate inspections, manage work orders and vendors, track permits and building violations and support landlord-tenant processes in coordination with legal as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain tenant files and support lease administration
Handle Section 8/HPD documentation: certifications, recertifications, inspections
Coordinate inspections and ensure timely follow-up
Manage work orders, vendor activity, and permit/building violation tracking
Support landlord-tenant workflows and compliance reporting
REQUIREMENTES
Strong IT/property management software skills; accurate data entry and reporting 
Preferred: Yardi and/or AppFolio experience
