Isla Bella Beach Resort and Tranquility Bay Beachfront Resort are seeking an organized, energetic, and relationship-driven Conference Services & Events Manager to join our team in Marathon, Florida.

In this role, you'll manage the details that turn a signed contract into an exceptional event—from weddings and celebrations to corporate meetings, conferences, and group programs. You'll partner directly with clients and resort teams to coordinate event details, develop BEOs, manage timelines, identify revenue opportunities, and ensure seamless execution across two beautiful waterfront resorts.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced event or hospitality professional who is ready to take ownership of events and grow their career in resort conference services.

What You'll DoEvent Planning & Client Relationships
  • Serve as the primary client contact from contract turnover through event execution
  • Build strong relationships with clients while learning their vision, priorities, budget, and expectations
  • Plan and coordinate weddings, meetings, conferences, group programs, and special events
  • Conduct site visits, planning meetings, and pre-event meetings
  • Create and maintain accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), group resumes, event timelines, and other event documentation
  • Communicate changes and important event details clearly and promptly
Event Execution
  • Coordinate all event details with resort operational teams to ensure successful execution
  • Oversee event logistics including catering, room setups, audiovisual needs, guest accommodations, and special requests
  • Lead BEO and pre-convention meetings
  • Be present for key events and client touchpoints
  • Anticipate potential challenges and proactively develop solutions
  • Respond to client needs and last-minute changes calmly and professionally
Revenue & Upselling
  • Proactively identify opportunities to increase event revenue while enhancing the client's experience
  • Recommend menu enhancements, upgraded experiences, additional functions, premium offerings, and other services based on client needs
  • Partner with clients to expand event offerings while remaining mindful of their goals and budget
  • Manage group room blocks, cutoff dates, and event details to help maximize revenue opportunities
  • Track event revenue and support forecasting, billing, and reconciliation processes
Resort Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Banquets, Culinary, Food & Beverage, Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Sales, and other resort teams
  • Ensure all departments have accurate and timely information needed to execute events
  • Coordinate events across both Isla Bella Beach Resort and Tranquility Bay Beachfront Resort
  • Maintain clear communication before, during, and after events
  • Support resort teams on-site to ensure service standards and client expectations are met
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in event planning, conference services, catering, weddings, banquets, hotel sales, or hospitality operations
  • Hotel or resort event experience preferred, but not required
  • Experience coordinating weddings, meetings, conferences, or group events is a plus
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple events, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously
  • Confident problem-solving skills and the ability to remain composed when plans change
  • Sales-minded approach with the ability to identify thoughtful upselling opportunities
  • Experience with BEOs or event management systems preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work between both Marathon resort properties
  • Flexible availability based on event schedules, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays
