Job description

Article Student Living is looking for a full-time Assistant Property Manager to join our team to lead the operational success of our student living community. You will be responsible for all financial activities, managing the onsite accounting software system, and resident relations for the property. The Assistant Property Manager also serves as the back-up to the Property Manager in their absence and provides overall support to the property to ensure the success of the property.

The Assistant Property Manager will report to the Property Manager.
The pay range is $60,000-$66,000, plus an annual bonus.
Responsibilities
  • Complete all accounting and bookkeeping tasks according to the annual accounting calendar, overseeing all billing for residential and commercial accounts
  • Help prepare financial reports, budgets, revenue projections, and variance analysis
  • Ensure Winter, Spring, and Summer break unit inspections are documented and billed
  • Create notices to residents for lease violations and fines
  • Partner with the Property Manager in leading the turnover process
  • Assist Property Manager payroll activities, including generating timesheets and leasing commissions, ensuring all tax forms and other related payroll documents comply, and assisting with scheduling of employees

Your Track Record
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or comparable experience in the student housing space
  • 2+ years in property operations or leasing in the student housing or residential property management industry
  • Experience with financials and budgets
