Our team is passionate about delivering top-notch property management services, building lasting relationships with our residents and making a difference in our neighborhoods. We’re all about integrity, communication, and creating fun, engaging experiences for everyone involved.

We believe in quality housing, reliable service, and a community-first approach. Together, we’re redefining what it means to manage properties with care and purpose.

Our Core Values:

At Stone & Browning, we work hard to uphold our values in every interaction—whether it’s with our team, our investors, or our residents. We believe in:

  • Genuine team culture – Because collaboration is key.
  • Reliable communication – Keeping everyone informed and connected.

  • Adaptability – Rolling with changes and challenges.

Your Role as Senior Maintenance Technician:

You’ll be responsible for larger renovation projects, higher-value turnovers, and the kinds of repairs that need more than a quick fix. You’ll work closely with the Project Manager and Property Managers to make sure capital improvements and larger unit turns go smoothly, stay on budget, and meet our standards. This role is ideal for someone who knows their way around tools, can take the lead on big unit turns and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to get a job done right.

We also embrace technology to streamline operations, so if you’re comfortable using maintenance software, digital tools, and apps to track work orders, manage schedules, and boost efficiency, you’ll thrive in this role.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Establish and execute the scope of work for larger unit turns in coordination with the Project Manager
  • Tackling large scale unit turns over $5,000 (we’re talking full refreshes, not just touch-ups)
  • Work with your team to complete capital improvement projects, while leaning on vendors as needed. Ensure capital projects are completed in a timely manner, adhere to the budget, and align with owner and company expectations and standards
  • Troubleshooting more advanced maintenance issues and lending a hand when techs need backup
  • Keeping things organized with solid documentation and communication

What We’re Looking For:

  • Solid experience in maintenance and renovations
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • A tech-savvy mindset – you should be comfortable with maintenance software, scheduling tools, and digital communication platforms.
  • Background check required
  • A valid driver’s license

Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
    • Frequent bending, kneeling, and squatting
    • Ability to climb ladders and work at varying heights safely
    • Visual acuity to inspect work and identify issues

Cognitive Requirements:

    • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures
    • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
    • Capacity to work independently and make sound decisions on the job
    • Comfortable using technology, including mobile apps, software, and tools to track work and communicate

Hours:
Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm with a rotating on call schedule

Pay: Hourly- $25-$28+ an hour (depending on experience), on call bonus

Location:
Travel to projects within Greater Burlington area
