Starting Wage: $68,468.92 annual salary

The Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager is responsible for the daily operation, motivation, and administration of all Food and Beverage Team Members to ensure all departmental policies, company service commitments, company procedures, and Tribal regulations are being adhered to.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages and delegates work to the café Chef and F&B leads to ensure their department is meeting standards, requirements, and service levels through effective scheduling.
  • Ensures guest service standards are being met and that all Team Members are performing duties in a consistent, efficient, and accurate manner.
  • Assists in hiring, training, and scheduling with the approval of the General Manager.
  • Covers shifts for Team Members due to PTO, staff shortages, or vacations, performing job duties as needed. 
  • Conducts meetings with the team Quarterly for feedback, monthly for development, and weekly for one-on-ones with leaders.
  • Ensures that all Team Members are properly trained and utilized to their full potential within their role. 
  • Evaluates Team Member work performance and implements personnel actions including additional training needs, evaluations and corrective actions.
  • Works with property leadership to manage communications with Team Members in order to resolve personnel problems and discuss solutions.
  • Reviews Team Member paperwork, work schedules and payroll information and submits for processing in a timely manner. 
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health/safety and other statutory regulations while remaining current on all emergency procedures.
  • Resolves or refers to other Management all guest concerns, complaints or suggestions in a continuous effort to provide superior guest service.
  • Recommends changes that could improve service and increase operational efficiency.
  • Assists with the development of menu and special items.
  • Verifies all product being served to the guests meets quality standards and is prepared to guest satisfaction. 
  • Oversees product and inventory supplies for all F&B areas. 
  • Plays a vital role in the process and creation of the department budget, supplying reports to management as requested.
  • Maintains awareness of, and effectively communicates to other staff, company promotions, events and programs.  
  • Provides information and explains Players Club benefits, property amenities & marketing programs to our guests.
  • Closely follows the F&B department health and personal hygiene policy.
  • Other duties as directed by management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, Team Members may be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke, including regular exposure for those working on the casino floor.   The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can occasionally reach a high level for short periods. 

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND ELIGIBILITY

  • Minimum age requirement for this position is 21 years old.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must have 5 years’ experience in a Food and Beverage position, including 2 years in a supervisory role, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Experience in food and beverage sales in a casino environment preferred.
  • Possess or obtain a Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment.
  • Must have an OLCC Permit at the time of hire.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by TRCR’s insurance agency.
  • Intermediate understanding of computer programs, with proficiency in all windows applications required.
  • Ability to work without supervision, to organize and track multiple projects with large amounts to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well in pressure situations, delegating to support staff as needed.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing or by other acceptable means.
  • Comply with pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing. 
  • Receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the CTCLUSI Tribal Gaming Commission. 
  • Availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays based on the needs of the department and for special casino events.   

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
  • Must be able to carry, reach, twist, bend, and squat frequently.
  • Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed.
