We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused Assistant Property manager to join our apartment community. The Assistant Property Manager supports the Property Manager in all aspects of daily operations, including leasing, resident relations, financial administration, and team leadership. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional resident experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Property Manager with the daily operations of the community.
  • Support leasing efforts by responding to inquiries, conducting apartment tours, and converting prospects into residents.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by promptly addressing resident concerns and ensuring high resident satisfaction.
  • Process rental applications, lease renewals, move-ins, move-outs, and resident documentation.
  • Collect rent, monitor delinquency, and assist with collections while maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports and assist with budgeting and financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws, company policies, and local regulations.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of work orders and apartment readiness.
  • Assist with marketing initiatives, resident retention programs, and community events.
  • Act as Property Manager in their absence and help lead the onsite team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of property management, leasing, or customer service experience
  • Strong knowledge of leasing, resident relations, and property operations.
  • Experience with property management software (Yardi, RealPage, OneSite, Entrata, or similar) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.
