Maintenance Technician

HVAC or Electrical Experience Highly Preferred

Job Summary:

Beck Auto Group is seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day maintenance needs of our dealerships and related entities. This role is responsible for general building maintenance, preventative upkeep, and light repairs to help keep our facilities safe, functional, and presentable. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in their work, can respond to maintenance needs efficiently, and enjoys variety in their day.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine building maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks across company properties.
  • Complete light repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and other general maintenance needs.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and address issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist with general upkeep of buildings and grounds, including cleanliness, safety, and appearance.
  • Identify and report larger repair needs or safety concerns to management.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
  • Use maintenance software on a mobile phone app to review, update, and complete work orders.
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and maintenance protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding completed work, outstanding issues, and material needs.
  • Assist with additional maintenance-related duties and special projects as assigned by management.


Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related trade preferred.
  • Basic working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
  • Must be comfortable using an app on a mobile phone to manage maintenance requests and work orders.
  • Experience with MaintainX is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks efficiently.
  • Dependable, flexible, and willing to assist where needed.
  • Valid driver’s license required.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and reach for extended periods.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other maintenance equipment.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as needed.
