Job description

The Promotions Representative supports the planning, coordination, and on-floor execution of promotional events and marketing initiatives throughout Morongo Casino Resort & Spa. This guest-facing role is responsible for creating engaging and memorable experiences by assisting with giveaways, tournaments, drawings, and special events while delivering exceptional guest service. The Promotions Representative plays a key role in enhancing guest loyalty, promoting brand standards, and supporting overall casino operations in a fast-paced entertainment environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Represents the Promotions Department on the casino floor and at designated event venues with a professional, energetic, and guest-focused demeanor.
  • Assists with the execution of promotions, including giveaways, sweepstakes, tournaments, drawings, and special events.
  • Explains promotional rules, mechanics, eligibility requirements, and event details clearly and accurately to guests.
  • Enrolls guests into players club programs and promotional campaigns using designated systems and software.
  • Distributes promotional items, prizes, giveaways, and gifts in accordance with established procedures and internal controls.
  • Verifies guest identification and promotional eligibility while maintaining compliance with company policies and gaming regulations.
  • Assists with event setup, breakdown, organization, and inventory control of promotional materials and equipment.
  • Maintains accurate records and documentation related to promotions, guest participation, and prize distribution.
  • Collaborates with internal departments to support seamless execution of promotional events and guest experiences.
  • Monitors promotional areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to operational standards.
  • Provides feedback to leadership regarding guest participation, promotional effectiveness, and operational improvements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may provide assistance and support to team members during promotional events and activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal communication and guest service skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to engage professionally and comfortably with diverse guests and team members.
  • Possesses strong organizational skills and attention to detail while managing multiple assignments.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn promotional systems and software.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and sound judgment in daily responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in promotions, guest services, events, or a customer-facing role.
  • Proven ability to assist with the setup, execution, and breakdown of promotional events and activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to handle guest inquiries, distribute prizes, and provide accurate information about promotions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Prior experience in a casino, resort, or entertainment venue is preferred.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must have successfully completed a background check and obtained a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency, as required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to read and interpret documents in English, such as instructions, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Must also be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, management, and guests.

  • Mobility: Routinely moves throughout the casino floor, event spaces, and property to execute promotions and assist guests.
  • Stationary Work: Frequently remains in a stationary position while assisting guests, operating promotional systems, and supporting event activities.
  • Tool Operation: Regular use of handheld radios, tablets, scanners, drawing bins, promotional kiosks, and standard office tools for paperwork and reporting.
  • Visual Acuity: Requires good near and far vision to read promotional rules, verify player identification, enter data, and monitor event activity with precision.
  • Working Conditions: Regularly works in areas with moderate to high noise levels, large crowds, bright lighting, and in a smoking environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires the ability to adapt and perform under pressure. The casino operates with moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment, requiring team members to work comfortably in these conditions.
WORKING HOURS:
Morongo Casino Resort & Spa operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; therefore, flexibility in scheduling is essential. Team members must be available to work shifts that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs and may include overtime, as well as work on both weekdays and weekends.
