Join Our Team as a Behavioral Health Technician!
The Recovery Village is dedicated to providing high-quality mental health and substance abuse treatment. As part of our commitment to helping individuals reclaim their lives, we are seeking passionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Technicians to join our team. Our facility offers a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to addiction treatment and mental health recovery, tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
About Our Organization. This position supports one of the trusted behavioral health programs within the Advanced Recovery Systems family. Advanced Recovery Systems is the parent organization of The Recovery Village, Promises Behavioral Health, The Right Step, and The Ranch, bringing together established treatment brands with a shared commitment to expanding access to high-quality, evidence-based addiction and mental health care. While you may work primarily with a specific facility or brand, you will be part of a larger, growing organization focused on improving patient outcomes, supporting our employees and strengthening the communities we serve.
The Behavioral Health Technician plays a vital role in the treatment process by observing and monitoring patients, facilitating therapeutic activities, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment. You will work closely with the clinical team to develop treatment plans and promote the well-being of our patients. Works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure success of the facility by completing the following: CORE JOB DUTIES:
1. Perform patient safety checks, room checks, and shift hand-offs to ensure a safe environment.
2. Support the admission process, including belongings searches, documentation, and orientation of new patients.
3. Monitor and engage patients during meals, groups, recreational activities, and community interactions to build rapport and encourage participation.
4. Assist nursing staff with vitals, breathalyzers, urine drug screens, pulse oximetry, and other competency-based procedures.
5. Observe and report changes in patient behavior, mood, or safety concerns to the treatment team.
6. Respond promptly to emergencies and implement de-escalation and crisis intervention strategies when needed.
7. Maintain infection control, hand hygiene, and biohazard safety standards in all patient care activities.
8. Collaborate with nursing, clinical, and case management staff to reinforce treatment goals and individualized care plans.
9. Model professionalism, boundaries, and recovery-focused behaviors for patients at all times.
10. Others duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Required Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or GED required. Coursework or degree in behavioral health or related field preferred.
    • 3+ years of experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or a related field preferred.
    • Prior experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or human services in roles with emphasis involving direct customer or client service experience, strongly preferred.
    • Good driving record that meets safety and company insurance standards.
    • QMAP, CNA, MA, Certified Behavioral Health Technician (CBHT), Mental Health Technician Certification (MHTC), trauma-informed care training/certification or in process of obtaining preferred.
    • CPR and Standard First Aid certification
