Job description

BlueForce Inc. is seeking for a Test Control Officer in support of the DoD English Language Training Program in Saudi Arabia.

*Position subject to availability*

The Test Control Officer (TCO) will manage the testing of Saudi Military Students (SMSs) language proficiency and oversee the testing labs and programs. TCO will ensure the utilization of established testing practices and curriculum in accordance with Defense Language Institute English Language Center (DLIELC) standards.


General Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Manage testing of Saudi Military Students (SMSs) language proficiency to include the development, administration, and evaluation of language tests.
  • Oversee the testing labs and programs, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to established protocols.
  • Ensure all testing practices and curriculum meets the Defense Language English Language Center (DLIELC) standards, to include the development and maintenance of testing materials, scoring criteria, and evaluation procedures.
  • Maintain and secure confidential records ensuring compliance with data protection and security protocols.
  • Collaborate with instructional staff to align testing practices with the language training curriculum and provide feedback for instructional improvement.
  • Ensure there is an Alternate Testing Control Officer (ATCO) when required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • US national.
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited US institution that includes or is supplemented by a major study in English as a Second Language (ESL), English as a Foreign Language (EFL), Linguistics, Foreign Languages, or Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages (TESOL), OR a minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience, within the past five (5) years, working as a testing administrator.
  • Capable of acting as a classroom instructor if necessary
  • Familiarity with the Defense Language Institute English Language Center (DLIELC) standards for testing and curriculum.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of language testing, best practices and methodologies is preferred.
