Job Description:
The Department of OB/GYN is seeking an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of OB/GYN to join our growing team at the University of Toledo Medical Center and ProMedica Toledo Hospital. Our institution features a medical school hospital with a fully accredited OBGYN residency program, currently home to approximately 20 active residents. The department boasts a well-established Level 4 Maternal and Level 3 Neonatal Childbirth unit. This position offers a unique blend of clinical practice, teaching, opportunities for leadership development and growth in a supportive and dynamic environment with additional potential opportunity for resident/student education leadership.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to a diverse patient population within our Level IV maternal/Level III neonatal childbirth unit.
  • Participate in an inpatient hospitalist model while also engaging in outpatient teaching and care.
  • Primary responsibilities, representing approximately 90% of your effort will be to provide clinical services in your specialty of obstetrics and gynecology at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.
  • Occasionally provide backup support in GYN to the University of Toledo Medical Center

Minimum Qualifications:
  • MD/DO degree
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Experience in an academic setting and a strong interest in teaching and mentorship is a plus
  • Current and unrestricted licensure in the State of Ohio required, prior to beginning the position.
  • Experience in working as a team of healthcare professionals and collaborating with them to ensure positive, effective patient experiences with our organization.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
