Job description

The purpose of this role is to assist the production and quality teams with review of documents related to those departments, train operators on requirements related to quality and documentation, as well as aiding the quality department with daily functions.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience
At least 1 year of experience in Quality Control and/or production environment. Proficiency in MS Excel required.
Hours: Flexibility for a 5-day, 8-hour schedule that supports both day shift and night shift production schedules. Ideal hours would be either Noon - 8pm or 1pm - 9pm.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Logistics/Warehouse/Production
  • Review production paperwork, on the production floor, at an interval sufficient for oversight of that department, focusing on master sanitation schedules, pre-operation checks, sanitation checks, and packaging checks including SKU change over in packaging.
  • Review documentation shipping packets.
  • Verify Infor transactions for re-blends, warehouse location transfers, complete SKU transfers, etc. and work with QC on documentation of these tasks.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for packaging scanners, printers and labeling equipment - become fluent with equipment software and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Review batch scans for accuracy, provide row cards to warehouse supervisor for confirmation and placement in warehouse.
  • Crosstrain with the Lab & Office Assistant, is needed.
  • Assist in the printing and management of secondary bag labels, ensuring that legible labels are printed prior to the production run and that unused labels are pulled from the floor after that production run as a key component of label management.
  • Issue off slip sheets, labels, and bags (by Lot) used in Chem and Ship.
  • Follow all relevant Quality Management System (QMS) procedures to ensure compliance.

Quality
  • Inventory and order lab supplies, production supplies, sanitation supplies and PPE.
  • Assist with data entry on an as needed basis - LIMs results, adding raw materials, issuing off raw materials
  • Assist with or conduct internal audits on processes, batch records, training records and validations to ensure we meet both Proliant's QMS program and regulatory agencies requirements
  • Aid in the tracking and training related to SOPs and form updates, ensuring completion and sign-off.
  • Assist the Quality Supervisor in receiving goods.
  • Update distribution of relevant SOPFORMs and associated documents to ensure proper documents are on the floor and being used correctly.
  • Assist with special projects

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Thorough working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and LIMS, Infor.
  • Excellent language skills for writing documents and technical reports.
  • Dependability, organizational skills and the ability to work with little supervision.
  • Willingness to work with others and work as a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm under stress.
  • Ability to follow standard procedures.
  • Ability to interpret data as it pertains to Quality Assurance and Production specifications.
