Job Description

CAI is hiring! We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team for a full-time, salaried opportunity that is hybrid in Newark, DE. The Project Manager plans, executes, monitors, and closes assigned projects within defined scope, schedule, and budget constraints. This role is responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder communication, mitigating risks, and ensuring that project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations. The Project Manager applies standard PM methodologies and best practices to drive successful project outcomes.


What You’ll Do

  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, success criteria, and governance structure in coordination with stakeholders and sponsors

  • Develop comprehensive project plans including work breakdown structures (WBS), schedules, resource plans, and budget baselines

  • Track and report on project progress against plan; manage variances in scope, schedule, cost, and quality

  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues; develop and execute risk response and mitigation plans

  • Manage scope change requests through a formal change control process

  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional project team members, ensuring clear accountability and timely delivery of workstream outputs

  • Facilitate project meetings including kick-offs, status reviews, steering committee updates, and lessons-learned retrospectives

  • Maintain complete and accurate project documentation (project charter, RAID log, status reports, decision logs)

  • Manage third-party vendor and contractor relationships relevant to project execution

  • Ensure successful project closure including formal client acceptance, final reporting, and knowledge transfer

What You’ll Need

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field required

  • 3–5 years of project management experience delivering technology, operations, or business transformation projects

  • Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or equivalent

  • Solid understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies

  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

  • Experience managing project budgets and vendor/contractor relationships

Preferred:

  • PMP certification or active pursuit required within 12 months of hire

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Sedentary work involving sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

$110,000 - $120,000 per year

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role receive paid time off and may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
