3. Knowledge of how to evaluate tooling and Plastic Injection Molding Experience.
Nice-To-Haves:
1. Must have Project Engineer experience focusing on tooling and Plastic Injection Molding.
Position Summary:
The safety and health of employees take precedence over any other duties of this position. This role serves as a role model for TQM
(Total Quality Management) practices, applying TQM tools in daily responsibilities and interactions with others. Under minimal
supervision, the Project Engineer is responsible for conceiving, developing, implementing, and managing engineering projects,
including documentation, parts selection and specification, construction, debugging, installation, and internal customer interface, as
well as overall project management. The role involves collaboration with division management on strategic technical issues.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Prioritize safety and promote safety in all aspects of employment.
2. Direct drafters, designers, and technicians on assigned projects and obtain external resources when necessary.
3. Coordinate projects with other departments as required.
4. Design complex processes and equipment, supervising construction, debugging, and installation.
5. Originate new or modified product and process projects.
6. Estimate costs and schedules for machinery and project proposals.
7. Develop project plans and lead assigned projects, responsible for all project management aspects.
8. Maintain expertise in product, process, mechanical development, and project management.
9. Enhance computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, AutoCAD, and project management software.
10. Keep detailed records, write technical reports, and maintain an engineering notebook for intellectual property protection.
11. Contribute ideas for product, process, and equipment improvement with a focus on safety and competitive advantage.
12. Collaborate with various departments, including manufacturing, division managers, marketing, and other disciplines as needed.
13. Perform other assigned duties.
Education Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
Experience:
- At least 3 years of related experience as or equivalent to an Engineer III.
