The Project - TANGO
Summit (owned by Finastra) had been the core platform supporting WB and IFC capital markets and asset management functions for more than 20 years. In 2020, IBRD successfully replaced Summit with Murex Mx3 for Capital Market Operations. The primary objective of Project TANGO is to have a single instance of Murex across IBRD and IFC. The project also involves consolidation of systems and processes, streamlining interfaces between systems and adopting a single source of static/market data across the institutions.
Tango project has multiple phases. The scoping and design phase was completed by Murex and we will be getting into the implementation and testing phases shortly. The project will be implemented under the hybrid-agile framework.
Scope of work
  • Identify and document backlog of user stories, details within user stories, acceptance criteria and ensure they adequately cover the requirements.
  • Interact with business users and explain the user stories, acceptance criteria and get their sign off
  • Participate in functional discussions with vendor(s) during sprints
  • Document reporting requirements
  • Ability to identify control set of data for testing purposes
  • Write test cases to cover all user stories and ensure they are tested and signed off
  • Coordinate with vendor(s) regarding user stories, acceptance criteria and test cases and get their sign off.
  • Test (Sprint level testing, SIT) the solutions provided/developed
  • Interface with business clients and share test results, and get their approval to move the report/fix to production
  • Document test results in the required format.
  • Coordinate with internal control teams in getting required clearances for go-live.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, development team, solutions architect and business users
  • Actively participate in data migration activities including extracting data from legacy systems, mapping it to the target model, converge data between IFC and IBRD, format data in vendors template, reconcile and test.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Must have at least 10+ years of experience, of which at least 5 years in the finance industry as a Business Analyst.
  • Experience in agile methodology is essential.
  • Experience in having developed user stories and acceptance criteria is essential.
  • In-depth experience in coming with up test plans, test strategies, test cases and control sets for testing purposes.
  • Design and execute test cases for application development and implementation projects
  • Knowledge of Bank loan products will be a significant plus

BA specific
  • Strong working knowledge of agile framework
  • Strong process analysis skills and ability to suggest improvements for efficiency and effectiveness of solutions based on industry best practices
  • Having worked on ADO will be a big plus.
  • Proven conceptual, analytical, and judgmental skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate well with all levels, technical as well as non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work directly with clients and management independently and to facilitate and navigate discussions with stakeholders to ensure clarity, prioritization, and consensus
