The Opportunity:

We have partnered with an established Construction Contractor who is seeking to hire  multiple Senior Project Managers with Water/Wastewater construction experience for their Mississauga location. With a strong reputation for developing innovative and tailored solutions, this company has a track record of delivering complex projects on time and on budget across the GTA and Ontario. 

The Role:

The Senior Project Manager plays a "hands on role" and is the primary point of contact between on-site staff, stakeholders and regulatory authorities. This position will be responsible for executing projects, developing project schedules and timelines, managing project billings and budgets, overseeing contract administration and documentation, as well as managing on-site trades to ensure projects are successfully completed on time and on budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project activities throughout the life cycle of the project, including the allocation of adequate resources, scheduling, documentation, and budgets;
  • Achieve the project budget and complete accurate monthly forecasts;
  • Act as primary liaison with clients, designers, site superintendents, subtrades and other project stakeholders
  • Organize project teams into suitable workgroups and guide the teams through their efforts to produce deliverables according to specification
  • Manage internal and/or external contractors or trades
  • Oversee contract administration of RFI's, submittals, and change orders
  • Prepare costings and manage expenses, estimates, and vendor agreements

Key Requirements:

  • Eight (8) to Twelve (12) years of direct experience in Water/Wastewater infrastructure projects working for a general contractor in a lump sum bid environment
  • Have at least ten (10) years of leadership experience in a construction environment
  • Have direct project management experience in vertical Water/Wastewater construction projects valued over $30 million dollars CAD
  • Hold a valid P.Eng certification in Ontario
  • Project Management Professional or LEEDS certifications are an asset
  • Strong working relationships with vendors, subcontractors and stakeholders
  • Possess strong project scheduling skills using Primavera P6 or MS Project
  • Have commissioning and start up experience of complex mechanical, electrical, and process systems.
