Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Scheduling Manager will assist project teams in developing, tracking and updating schedules from inception to completion of the project. The Scheduling Manager will also work with the Scheduling team to enhance overall business flow.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Manage and develop direct reports within the scheduling department.
  • Communicate effectively with all field staff members, scheduling consultant and the client to ensure efficient and accurate schedule development and updates
  • Meet with Subcontractors as required in development of baseline schedule, monthly updates and recovery schedules
  • Identify and communicate significant schedule risks to Staff and appropriate Division personnel
  • Develop Work Breakdown Structures and work with project staff to facilitate development of the project schedule.
  • Analyze schedule, budget and/or resource variances from the baseline plan
  • Forecast impacts of variances to aid in the management of the schedule
  • Ability to use the cost-loaded schedule as the basis of billings
  • Utilize Primavera P6 scheduling software to update and document schedule performance
  • Monitor and status schedule progress
  • Analyze impacts, time extensions, claims, etc. through the use of schedule fragnets and TIAs.
  • Implement controls to avoid claims
  • Interact with scheduling consultant in schedule reviews, claims analysis, etc. Perform cash flow projections / analysis on a monthly basis
  • Perform manpower projections / analysis
  • Participate in Division training seminars
  • Train/Lead classes and facilitate learning of the scheduling systems amongst the project staff
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering required or equivalent years of experience in Scheduling
  • 8+ years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within the vertical construction industry required
  • Experience developing construction project schedules for large scale projects (100M+) required
  • Proficiency in developing, resource loading, analyzing and reporting on project schedules required
  • Experience scheduling with Primavera P6 required

For Southern California locations only, the salary range for this position is: $130,000-175,000. This does not include possible bonus and other benefits which can impact total compensation. Compensation offered may vary based on work location, experience, qualifications, specialty, training, and market and business considerations, among other factors.
