Job description
The Senior Project Manager is a senior-level project leader responsible for the successful delivery of the company's largest, most complex, and highest-value electrical construction projects or portfolios. This role operates with full accountability for project performance, including financial outcomes, contract execution, and client satisfaction, while driving strategic execution across multiple stakeholders and project teams.
Operating within the Project Team under the Operations function, the Senior Project Manager partners closely with Branch Managers, Project Executives, and field leadership to develop and execute project strategies that ensure operational excellence, margin performance, and client retention. This role serves as a primary point of contact for executive-level client relationships and plays a critical role in maintaining and expanding key accounts.
In addition to project delivery, the Senior Project Manager provides mentorship and guidance to Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers, contributing to the development of project management capabilities across the organization. The role requires a high level of independent judgment, leadership, and business acumen, with the ability to manage complex project demands while influencing broader operational and business outcomes.
The Senior Project Manager is a seasoned project management professional with a proven track record of delivering large-scale electrical construction, mission critical, or complex service projects, and the ability to lead high-performing teams while driving consistent results in safety, quality, financial performance, and client experience.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

- Serve as the primary executive-level point of contact for clients, general contractors, and key stakeholders; build and maintain long-term client relationships
- Lead contract strategy and administration, including negotiation, risk evaluation, and resolution of complex change orders, claims, and disputes
- Drive financial performance and cost control strategies, including productivity improvement, cost recovery, and margin protection initiatives
- Oversee procurement strategy for major equipment, subcontractors, and vendors, including high-value and long-lead items
- Provide leadership and direction to Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and project teams; mentor and develop talent to strengthen organizational capability
- Lead coordination across field leadership, engineering, BIM, prefabrication, service, and support functions to ensure integrated project execution
- Identify and proactively manage enterprise-level risks, including operational, financial, contractual, and client-related risks
- Lead executive-level reporting on project and portfolio performance, including status, financials, risks, and strategic considerations
- Support business development efforts by identifying growth opportunities, participating in pursuits, and contributing to client retention and expansion strategies
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all projects and reinforce company expectations and best practices
- Oversee final project closeout, commissioning, and turnover processes to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
