What is a project project manager?

Project Project managers are professionals responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects within an organization. They coordinate teams, manage resources, set timelines, and ensure that project goals are achieved on schedule and within budget. Their role involves communicating with stakeholders, identifying potential risks, and adapting plans as necessary to meet organizational objectives. Project managers are essential in various industries, including construction, IT, healthcare, and finance, to ensure projects run smoothly from start to finish.

What are some common challenges faced by project managers when balancing multiple projects simultaneously?

Project managers often encounter difficulties in prioritizing tasks and allocating resources efficiently across several projects. Managing competing deadlines, coordinating with diverse teams, and maintaining clear communication can be particularly challenging. Successful project managers use tools like project management software and regular status meetings to stay organized, while also adapting quickly to shifting priorities. Building strong relationships with stakeholders and fostering a collaborative environment further helps in overcoming these challenges.

Exceptional communication, adaptability, and team-building abilities help you manage stakeholders and motivate teams. These skills ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.

  • Support project quality processes through document and drawing reviews, and revision tracking. Ensure conformance with PND and Client specific quality standards and procedures.
  • Support minor CAD drawing updates as needed, based on project requirements and individual experience.
  • Identify opportunities to improve organization, communication, and project efficiency as experience grows and project evolve.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a motivated individual who enjoys supporting engineering teams and contributing to successful project delivery. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has strong written and verbal communication skills, and is comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred. Degrees in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, other related technical disciplines, or with significant related experience will also be considered.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Copilot.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
  • Self-starter with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Ability to manage assigned responsibilities independently while maintaining open communication with the project team.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Permanent authorization to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or other project scheduling software.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other engineering drafting software.
  • Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, or similar engineering and construction collaboration platforms.
  • Experience supporting engineering, consulting, or construction projects.

  • Employer-paid dental, vision, and life insurance
  • Disability insurance
  • 18-22 days of paid time off and 9 paid holidays annually
