Job description

Project Manager- Data Center


Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage daily oversight of all assigned projects
  • Actively participate in new project preconstruction
  • Monitor job progress, subcontractor performance, and project costs
  • Review Assistant Project Manager RFIs and submittals
  • Maintain working knowledge of project bids and issue contracts
  • Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Prepare monthly billings and financial reports
  • Prepare and conduct all Owner, Architect, Contractor (OAC) meetings on a weekly basis
  • Manage owner and architect expectations
  • Review project schedules and subcontractor pay applications with the assigned Superintendent and support contract completion dates
  • Oversee timely project closeout
  • Attend owner sponsored events
  • Train Assistant Project Managers and Project Coordinators, if assigned
  • Maintain knowledge of owner and subcontractor contracts

Required Skills & Expectations

  • Meet all assigned deadlines
  • Maintain project budgets and deliver projected profits
  • Fulfill all administrative responsibilities, including internal and external deliverables
  • Visit job sites twice per week
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow under the leadership of management
  • Be a team player and support all efforts toward on time project completion
  • Complete a minimum of 20 hours of continuing education annually
  • Communicate openly, honestly, and frequently with the Superintendent
  • Update the Senior Project Manager on all project milestones and potential challenges
  • Mentor junior staff
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer service

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Science or equivalent experience
