POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsible for providing all aspects of support on assigned pre-development and construction projects and programs. The Assistant Project Manager will support the project team, produce reports as required to keep the project on track and manage various aspects of a project as needed and assigned by the Project Manager
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • · Provide assistance on all phases of a project
  • · Oversee aspects of the project as assigned
  • · Organize, track, and maintain project documentation using SharePoint and other Microsoft products.
  • · Review and interpret design drawings
  • · Fully understand contract scope and ensure subcontract scopes are aligned with the contract SOW
  • · Become familiar with any job-specific requirements as required and help implement them so as not to delay or provide any cause for non-payment
  • · Assist in the preparation and management of meeting minutes, agendas, budgets, schedules, and reports
  • · Process and review change orders, RFIs, and submittals
  • · Coordinate with project stakeholders as required and appropriate
  • · Independently travel to and from project/construction sites as needed
  • · Require the implementation of and compliance with the Company’s Safety Program for the project
  • · Require the implementation of and compliance with the Company’s Quality Control Program
  • · Maintain a positive working environment for the entire team
  • · Maintain professionalism and integrity in all contracts and dealings
  • · Promote a positive company image through professional and fair business relationships
  • · Exceed client expectations
  • · Perform additional duties as assigned
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Four (4)-year degree in an accredited construction-related curriculum or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 1-year related work experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Construction Project Management software preferred
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Able to effectively multitask, prioritize, and efficiently manage time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to analyze problems, strategize, and implement effective solutions
  • Able to build solid relationships with vendors, investors, construction managers, and construction team
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing with any U.S. state
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and implement plans, specifications, and other contract documents
  • Ability to calmly and professionally resolve or escalate issues with clients, subcontractors, and other third parties in a timely manner
  • Knowledge of solicitation, negotiation, award, and management of subcontracts, including preparation of bid and subcontract scope language
  • Understanding of scheduling logic/constraints
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, drive, kneel, stoop, reach, bend, climb; touch and grasp, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment, particularly when in the field, can vary significantly and at times be very loud.
