Atlas Machine & Supply, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Steel Services Engineering Team. This role is responsible for overseeing shop projects throughout their full lifecycle, working closely with Sales, Operations, and other Steel Services team members to ensure projects are completed successfully, efficiently, and on schedule.


A key part of this position involves communicating project details and quickly developing solutions to manufacturing challenges. Successful candidates will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent attention to detail, and a high level of mechanical aptitude.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Act as primary project manager for a wide variety of equipment repair, equipment upgrade, and contract machining projects.
  • Review and interpret customer project requirements, specifications, and objectives.
  • Effectively communicate scope of work details to the operations team to facilitate efficient project completion.
  • Oversee project progress, providing technical support and identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with Sales and Project Engineering teams regarding project updates.
  • Work with sales and other internal teams to identify niche customer needs and develop new services for customers.


DESIRED PROGRAM AND TOOL FAMILIARITY:

  • Microsoft Office suite (required)
  • Familiarity with modern MRP/ERP systems.



REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field OR equivalent technical experience.
  • Proven experience in project engineering, project management, estimating, or a related role in a technical industry. Machining or welding experience a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to delivering quality results
