About the Role

The Engineering Department is seeking a Project Manager to own capital project delivery across the facility's active capital program. The role sits within the Project Management Office and reports to the Engineering Manager. The Project Manager works alongside the Clerk of Works, project owners, and project engineers, all of whom feed into the PMO process.

Responsibilities

  • Project scheduling and critical path management across all active capital projects
  • Contractor and vendor performance management
  • Scope of work development and maintenance for all capital projects
  • Risk and change register ownership for all active projects
  • Front-End Loading(FEL) support for new capital projects in collaboration with project engineers
  • SAP project systems maintenance: Work Breakdown Structures, cost centres, and purchase order tracking
  • Weekly project dashboard and monthly contractor performance reporting
  • Formal project closeout documentation for every completed project

PMP certification — active and current

Primary metals or smelting industry experience

5+ years project management in heavy industrial or manufacturing

Front-End Loading methodology experience

Demonstrated delivery of capital projects of $5M or higher

Experience in a unionised industrial environment
