Trissential is hiring a Project Controller/Coordinator to join our client's team in a high-visibility role supporting a Software Asset Management (SAM) organization through budgeting initiatives, purchasing processes, team restructuring efforts, and project execution. Your Role & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate budgeting-related activities and administrative processes supporting the Software Asset Management team
  • Assist with software procurement documentation, purchase validations, purchase requests, and purchase order (PO) workflows
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, timelines, risks, and status updates across multiple initiatives
  • Support implementation activities associated with the first phase of an organizational team restructure
  • Prepare and maintain project plans, dashboards, presentations, and status reports for leadership and stakeholders
  • Facilitate communication between internal teams, vendors, procurement partners, and project stakeholders
  • Monitor workflow progress and identify opportunities to improve coordination and operational efficiency
  • Support contract and software asset management processes utilizing ServiceNow and related enterprise systems
  • Assist with vendor coordination, sourcing activities, and purchasing lifecycle documentation
  • Maintain accurate project records and ensure compliance with established procurement and governance standards

Skills & Experience You Should Possess
  • Approximately 5-7 years of relevant experience in project coordination, project analysis, Software Asset Management, procurement, sourcing, vendor management, or related business support roles
  • Hands-on experience supporting Software Asset Management programs and software purchasing activities
  • Experience working with ServiceNow, specifically SAM Pro and Contracts modules
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, purchase requests, purchasing life cycles, and PO management
  • Experience supporting project plans, status reporting, stakeholder communications, and project coordination activities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project
  • Experience using SAP and Jira in a business or project environment
  • Excellent organizational, communication, documentation, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

Bonus Points If You Have
  • Utility industry experience
  • Experience supporting enterprise technology or IT asset management teams
  • Process improvement or operational excellence experience
  • Exposure to software licensing, compliance tracking, or contract administration
  • Experience working within large, matrixed organizations

Education & Certifications You Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent combination of professional experience and education will be considered
  • Project Management, Procurement, ServiceNow, or Asset Management certifications are advantageous
