Job description

Position Summary:

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of the facilities and utilities within the solar panel manufacturing plant. This role ensures that building systems, infrastructure, utilities, and facility-related operations are properly maintained to support uninterrupted manufacturing activities while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily facilities operations, maintenance activities, and facility support personnel.
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, fire protection, and utilities.
  • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance programs for facility equipment and infrastructure.
  • Monitor facility conditions to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient manufacturing environment.
  • Support manufacturing operations by minimizing facility downtime and responding promptly to maintenance issues.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for repairs, maintenance, and facility projects.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, safety, and company regulations.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and identify areas requiring repair or improvement.
  • Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and facility documentation.
  • Assist in facility expansion, renovations, equipment installations, and improvement projects.
  • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and spare parts.
  • Support emergency response activities and facility contingency planning.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, EHS, and Quality departments to support operational needs.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives related to facility efficiency, safety, and cost reduction.

Qualifications:Education:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Technical certifications in facilities maintenance or building systems are a plus.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or facilities supervision within a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Experience in solar panel manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, or industrial operations preferred.
Technical Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of industrial facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Understanding of preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and environmental regulations.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing facility operations and utility systems.
  • Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software.
