Job description

Director Operations-Data Center Logistics
As a leading 3PL, we offer end-to-end supply chain solutions for data center customers. This role is pivotal in supporting customer projects and tenders, building knowledge in the organization, technical expertise, developing operational standards, as well as training and delivery of these services confidently and safely. Working regionally and collaborating globally, you will be responsible for driving continuous process improvement recommendations, managing the implementation of changes within operations, standardizing documentation and keeping pace with the latest enabling technologies.
Job Description
Technical Leadership
  • Design data center logistics solutions and processes in line with industry standards, as well as our customer specifications
  • Develop end to end solutions, including warehousing, specialist transportation, last mile services, technical installation and spare parts logistics
  • Lead the design and implementation of processes for assembling, installing, and testing server racks and associated hardware.
  • Define technical standards, quality assurance protocols, and safety guidelines for data center operations.

Capability Development
  • Develop SOPs and training materials to ensure consistent execution.
  • Act as the subject matter expert to support customer discussions, bid processes, solution design and pricing.

Customer Engagement
  • Partner with business development teams to articulate technical capabilities and build trust with potential customers.
  • Support written tender responses and solution presentations

Project Execution
  • Oversee pilot projects and initial deployments to validate processes and ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of data center logistics, infrastructure or related field
  • Proven expertise in data center logistics services, server rack assembly, installation and spare parts management
  • Strong knowledge of data center operating and compliance standards
  • Commercial experience (costing, pricing, P&L management)
  • Ability to develop SOPs and training programs
