Job description

The International Operations Associate will provide administrative and operational support to the Administrative Operations & Systems (AOS) Group and Corporate Business Services (CBS) teams. As a member of the AOS team, the idea candidate for this role will help manage ICF's global activities, bridging corporate operations and project operations by supporting cross-border opportunities, ensuring local compliance, adapting strategies to diverse markets and clients, supporting risk analysis and mitigation, coordinating teams, while driving efficiencies to enhance the effectiveness of processes to enable our AOS, CBS, and Business Operations teams to deliver high quality support and results to our customers and program beneficiaries globally. The ideal candidate for this role is eager to make an impact in the fields of international operations, risk management, and corporate compliance

This role will be hybrid in our Reston, VA office two days per week.

What You'll be Doing:

  • Assist in preparing, reviewing, and organizing documentation for international proposals, contracts, and operational activities.

  • Support tracking, monitoring, data entry, and reporting for international contract and procurement activities throughout the entire project lifecycle.

  • Coordinate with internal teams (Legal, Contracts, Procurement, Finance, Tax, Human Resources, Travel, Risk Management, Security, IT) to gather information to inform decisions related to international business operations.

  • Maintain SharePoint sites and other document repositories to ensure accurate and timely updates.

  • Assist in research and compilation of regulatory requirements for international operations.

  • Support internal social awareness campaigns regarding international operations' best practices and processes.

  • Participate in training sessions and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

  • Help monitor supplier performance and maintain accurate records of transactions and compliance requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in International Affairs, International Business, Risk Management, Supply Chain Management, or a business-related field

  • 3+ years of experience in operations, contract management, project management, or procurement supporting government and commercial client contract performance internationally

Technical & Communication Skills: Possesses a basic understanding of data analytics and reporting tools. Brings a partnership mindset and solution-focused attitude to managing multifaceted scenarios. Communicates clearly and coordinates efficiently across functions. Works well within teams and is flexible with changing priorities.
