Job Description
Title : Sr. Project Manager
Duration: 18+ month contract position
Location: Eagan, MN

Responsibilities:
             Leads entire project
             Communicates appropriately to stakeholders
             Help Business Partners and Business Users understand their roles and responsibilities within the project
             Requests the needed people for a project and get them oriented to work on the project
             Develops and executes an overall project schedule, including tasks, duration, dependencies, and resource assignments
                Controls and tracks changes to scope, time, cost, quality, issues, and risk
             Leads completion of project objective, such as procurement, quality planning, service level agreements, and customer training
             Ensures product deliverables' quality, such as functional specifications, logical and physical data design, solution design and detailed design, test plans, and completed solution
             Resolves issues in a timely manner. When appropriate, escalate problems and issues to stakeholders and sponsor
             Evaluates risks and assess possible outcomes
             Manages vendor relationships according to contract terms and conditions
             Responds to terms or conditions not being met
             Monitors individual performance and provide feedback to resource managers
             Recognizes and reward desirable individual and team performance
             Directs and delegates work effort
Qualifications
Qualifications:
This project is sponsored by the Revenue Management portfolio and is in the Feasibility phase.
Project is "IT - Seamless Availability to a Distributed Platform".
Project scope is to move real-time inventory availability from a mainframe environment to a distributed environment.
Ideal candidates will have experience in moving applications from mainframe to distributed and hardware experience.
We do not want to go backwards in speed, so application tuning and performance testing will play a large part in the success of this project.
Project will be fairly matrixed and doing project successfully is critical to our airline.
PM needs to be organized and keep track of several items moving forward at the same time.
Past airline experience is a plus, but not necessarily required.
Project will follow typical SDLC and PM must have proven experience from start to end of SDLC.
Experience should include projects in range of $2-4 million, projects that involve multiple IT groups, software application projects that include working with multiple IT groups, both on the app side and Infra side (resumes presented should reflect this experience).
Perhaps travel weekly at first and then switch to every other week after relationships have been established.
Estimate one over night during weekly and then bi-weekly travel.
Budget will be approximately $2 million in hardware and $1 million in application development.
