About the Position

The Project Manager collaborates closely with both internal teams, including project engineers, field management, and external stakeholders such as the design team, contractors, suppliers, and clients. This role is responsible for providing the leadership, coordination, and resources necessary to meet or exceed project expectations, all while maintaining a strong focus on team safety, efficiency, and overall project success.


Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to field teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction—supporting repeat business
  • Maintain project momentum by ensuring field teams have the necessary resources and support to operate efficiently
  • Collaborate with field management, vendors, design teams, and clients to resolve project issues and answer technical questions
  • Manage the submittal process from documentation through final approvals
  • Develop and update project schedules and look-aheads to track progress and identify upcoming needs
  • Negotiate vendor pricing and issue purchase orders and subcontracts.
  • Organize and lead project meetings, including pre-construction and bi-weekly progress meetings with clients and site personnel
  • Conduct monthly site safety and quality walk-throughs with field leadership
  • Oversee project startup activities, including background check coordination, site office, storage, equipment rental, and logistics setup, and site-specific logistics and safety planning documentation
  • Manage financial aspects of assigned projects including but not limited to change events and change orders, project budgets and Schedules of Values, monthly and final billing, including retainage, and monthly cost-to-complete reports
  • Use Procore to manage project documentation, including photos, schedules, financials, drawings, punch lists, and daily logs
  • Participate in and support field management training initiatives
  • Order ductwork or custom fabrications and coordinate delivery to the site
  • Mentor and guide field leadership, focusing on professional development and team growth
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by leadership to ensure smooth operations and organizational efficiency


Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management or related field
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and subcontractor/vendor relationships
  • Strong working knowledge of construction processes, documentation, and safety protocols
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Demonstrated success in mentoring field staff and fostering team development
  • Experience with estimating, procurement, and negotiating subcontracts
  • Team player with servant leadership mindset
  • OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour safety certification or ability to obtain

  • Pay Rate: Based on experience and expertise.
