Job description

Position Summary:
Licensure preferred but not required. Manages multiple small/medium projects, coordinates all aspects of assigned projects, and estimates scope of work. Responsible for coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects. May serve as primary point of client contact.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Principal in Charge or Senior Project Manager, prepares strategic plans for project success, including estimates fees, scope of work, proposals, project schedules, contracts, consultant selection, consultant negotiations, and monitoring and preparing additional services requests.

  • Responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.

  • Leads regular project team meetings.

  • Serves as primary client liaison to bring schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the client's satisfaction.

  • Maintains routine client contact.

  • Actively manages client budgets, schedules, and programs, project communications, and documentation.

  • Primarily responsible for implementing office staffing, project team requirements, and other office administrative tasks such as hiring and manpower, quality assurance, office technology, and billing and cash flow.

  • May also assume the role of Project Architect in smaller jobs. In larger jobs, the roles should be separated.

  • The Project Manager and Project Architect may divide the tasks between them in a way that capitalizes on their abilities.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Professional Architectural Degree.

  • Professional Certification (such as LEED AP, CSI, etc.).

  • Ability to perform work as required, competence in the area of work, willingness to perform well in many aspects of practice, and reliability.
